Aunt H according to Nilla:
What can I say about Aunt H??? Well, she has a beautiful name :). Seriously, though. I have to say that I love that Aunt H has been so loving toward me. I have emailed her several times with questions and grief, and she has been able to help me. That will always be special to me. It will always be special to me that she flew to Alabama for my wedding in 2003. Of course, my funniest memories will have to be from the trip I took in December. So let me just pick a couple... I love remembering how she figured singing in the backseat would absolve her of any guilt if Elka made any wrong turns in Washington D.C. I doubt I'll ever forget that. I love how she and my mom got "lost" in Penn Station, and then accused Elka and me of being willing to leave them if they didn't keep up. I love (and still laugh about) the peter comment.... Ah, the memories....
Aunt H memory from Deb:
Now an H memory. H, remember going to the World's Fair in Seattle and mom and dad giving us money. We blithely took off and I told you thats okay, we were told to meet at some spot. When we ran out of money we went to that spot. Mom was fit to be tied because they had hung around that spot till we came back.

i'm definitely going to have to go with the 3-day. it was an amazing event, and i am so glad we were able to share it together. i witnessed your unbelievable endurance and perseverance and love for your sister. i literally saw the determination to walk each step for her. then in all the pain of your feet, you still had the love to help another woman in need to encourage her to push along. thanks for teaching me these things. oh, and thanks for being at the birth of the boys!
Mr. S's memory of H (my mom)
My memories are not all that exciting... but they are very special to me. I always remember my mom singing. If you said anything in ordinary conversation remotely close to the lyrics to a song, she would burst out in song. She even made up a song for Little M when she was born. I think all the dogs at home have their own songs too... I also love to remember her laughing. Like when she recollects the moth story with Aunt M, or when she's with her sister D (Shall we say PalsboroRV!), or her laughing at something HYBP did or said recently (Why don't you kiss your own Breft Rusky...what is a Breft Rusky anyways? - that's what he said when my mom told him, jokingly, to kiss her left butt-cheek - he didn't hear her quite right!). I don't think I could have picked a better mom!

Okay, I forgot my password and ID. What can I say. My memory isn't what it used to be. I remember "rescuing" when I couldn't swim well. I don't remember all the details, I just remember thinking I could rescue her when we were in the lake. My mom and dad watched from the shore. M is still kicking so I guess I did the job.
