More Food!

These recipes are contributed by Hila P.

Appetizer:

Cheese Olivettes
½ lb sharp cheese
1 stick butter or margarine
1 ½ cups sifted flour
½ tsp Tabasco
Dash of garlic salt
Paprika (optional)
Small stuffed olives (drained and dried)

Grate cheese and mix with butter, flour, Tabasco, garlic salt and paprika. Blend well. Chill dough in covered dish. When ready to use, let stand at room temp for easier handling. Break off bits large enough to wrap around olives. Place on baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Appetizer:
GOING LIKE HOTCAKES
Mix together:
1 ½ cup grated, unpeeled zucchini (pressed dry between paper towel)
2 tablespoons grated or finely chopped onion
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup flour

2 tablespoons mayonnaise
¼ tsp oregano
Salt & pepper to taste

Melt 1 Tbsp butter in skillet. Spoon batter (2 heaping tablespoon makes a nice size) into the skillet. Flatten with spatula. Cook over medium heat until browned on both sides. Serve plain or top with tomato sauce and grated cheese, or sour cream and chives.

Well, I took a picture of you and your mom making them... So I just cut out the olivettes and posted that part of the picture :). It's not the finished product, but, at least it's something :). I'm addicted to food AND pictures!

it HAD to be you! hp and i always joke about how you are the only person we know who takes pics of food! that is why i wrote the first comment. i thought my mom was pulling a nilla. then i paid more attention to what was written and realized it was probably you! i love it!

Well, I'm not the ONLY person who takes pictures of food. If you visit my friend Jeni's blog today, you'll see that she does too :). And hey, look at the enjoyment my food-picture-taking has given you... not to mention pictures to look at :) (I'm a firm believer that cookbooks should have pictures, because how are you going to know if you want to make it if you don't know how it is supposed to look! I'm a visual eater.... I see food, I eat it :).

The rest of us aren't commenting because we're more sane than the two of you! :) Actually its more fun to just read your comments. I do agree on food pictures though. I like to see what I am making is suppose to look like!

I know, we should put some secret message in the comments and then wait to see who actually reads the blog. Something like..."What did she actually say about HYBP and Peter?" HA! No, we better not use that coded message. HP
